Cool Dual tank-No heat from one

I filled both Propane tanks before a camping trip. With one of the tanks selected the furnace would not light. When switching to other tank furnace worked just fine. The tank that didn't work supplied ample gas to indoor and outdoor kitchens. Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite 8312SS

Opened the propane tank valve too fast triggering the safety device?

Shut it off and open it VERY slowly. Some are real sensitive.

Bad check valve at the automatic changeover regulator?

It could be bypassing enough to run everything but the furnace (BIG propane hog).

If your trailer has been made fairly recent, you probably have a manual selector handle........that is on an automatic changeover valve.

Here is a youtube video that helps explain it as well as written directions explaining the system:

If you understand how the automatic changeover valve works:

You could follow the advice at the following link to test your changeover valve. However, the link suggests using your stove for the test, instead of the furnace because your thermostat may turn off your heater (due to reaching the set temperature) before you had time to complete it all.

As Lou said, you may have enough seepage to run the stove but not the furnace. If you could make the furnace stay on long enough for the test, then that should do it.
