Fan constantly running

Okay, so I'm a newbie

We purchased a used 2011 Primetime Crusader so we didn't get the full dealer orientation.

The AC and the furnace do their job. We can hear the ac compressor turn off and the furnace heat will turn off, but it seems there is a blower fan for both that does not shut off until we shut if off by turning the whole system off at the thermostat. Assuming this is not normal? Suggestions?

On your thermostat. you need to set the fan mode to "Auto". That should take care of it.

I learned the same lesson only the hard way. DW wanted a little heat in the morning while I was out goofing off. Took me the next two days to figure out how get the d@#n fan to shut off

it always seems to be the simple stuff that throws all of us. once pointed out, you have a well, duh moment.

the only mistakes I ever make are usually when many witnesses are around.

Don't you folks have an Auto Fan switch on your thermostats at home? I've had one for 30 years.

I bought a used 2011 320 Crusader. We love it but I my having problems with the fan for the furnace. When I turn on the furnace, heat will come out of the floor grates but not with any force. Also the ceiling vents for the a/c will be blowing cool air at the same time. There is not auto switch on the thermostat. The thermostat only has on and off and you keep pushing the on of button till you light up the appropriate function.
Please help is getting cold in Canada.

Can you post a picture of the thermostat so we can see what you have?

Just for info, one reason for the lo/high setting in lieu of auto is to help move the heat around, they are mostly zonal so that other spaces stay cooler. Another thought, don't use it unless you have to, get a small electric heater and run it as needed, just watch your appetite for amps ie: couple of appliances at a time.

my thermostat does not really have an auto switch - i've got a fan, A/C and Heat button. For the fan button, there is a low, high and auto setting. By setting the fan button to auto, it takes care of what it needs to do when I switch on the other settings. Otherwise the fan runs all the time - when the furnace switches off as an example, the fan keeps running unless you have it set to auto. It seems then that the it's not working properly because it's blowing cold, but it's just that the furnace is off when the air is blowing.
