First trip of the year

Off to Killeen tx .. About a 200 mile trip.
New truck to try out.
Only downside was forcast.
Lower 20s for the first night and then gradualy better.

Arrived to find out both propane tanks empty when i thought they were full.
My bad. And campground will pick them up and take them to get filled. Nice.
Furnace would still not work. But campground has full timer that is an RV repair guy. Very nice.

No problem he said. 2 hours later figures out it is a bad blower motor.
Too late to order one yesterday, but should be installed tomorrow.
DW bought us one of those little heater fireplaces for the camper.
So we snuggled and stayed warm. Very, very nice.op
Don't y'all just love making memories!

Wish we could go take our trailer out this week end. Our season will start the week after, weather permitting. Last year was a bad year for outings, will go a lot more this year.

Have never traveled down to Killeen, but everyone who have seem to like the camping there. Do you stay at RV park or boon dock? Have fun on your first trip of the year!

I am curious about Killeen as well, have only driven thru there, never stopped but would like to. Any COE or state parks in the area?

Killeen is exit 293A off of I35. There is. Astte park off of exit 313 i think.
Wecare staying at a privte campground almost in the middle town.
Really friendly. Folks. Campground is all concrete pads and handy to all
Around. Went up to thecTexas Rangers museum in Waco this afuernoon.
That's police not baseball. Interesting museum. They have been around for nearly 200 years.

Right next to Ft Hood. Huge military base. Thats our reason for being here
Son gets home from Afganistan tomorrow.

Killen is on the north end of the hill country so plenty of places to see. Less thn an hour to Austin.
