Fridge using propane

I'm sure it's been asked but can't find the post, does anyone know about how long a 20# propane should last when only using the 8.0 dometic fridge? Not using anything else for propane.

Propane has 91,500 btu per gallon or 21,548 per pound. Look at the info for your fridge and see the btu load and then divide. it will get you close as the fridge doesn't run full bore all the time. Good Luck

It is going to depend a lot on how much propane is actually in that 20-pounder and if all that is powered by that 20-pounder is a gas refrigerator. Twenty pounds of propane will last a lot longer in the snow to power a gas refrigerator than it will in the desert. If powering only the refrigerator, it should easily last over 7-days yet won't likely make it to 14-days before running out. I feel for you if you a huge land yacht with only a twenty-pounder onboard. I fail to understand why they are built that way.

Saleman said FR uses the 20 because it's easily exchanged.
