Furnace keeps firing

I have a 2015 avenger 28dbs, and when i came home from work today i heard a clicking sound coming from the camper. When i went to check, the furnace was trying to fire up. I checked the propane it was off. The thermostat was set to off as well. Turning it to on off auto made no difference, and the furnace had even come on all together once. The only way i could get it to stop was to remove the panel on the outside, and turn that switch from the reset position to off. Has anyone had a problem like this?

Hi yes the thermostat wire to the furnace is shorted out and powering the 12 volts to start the furnace. This happened about 3-4 years back to the wires behind the thermostat where the wires went into the wall

Hope this helps Tim

With an outdoor panel are you sure that is not the water heater trying to start?

Hi I removed the thermostat from the wall and found the short right there. Not sure if this is a new tt? If you can't find it make an appointment right away with the dealer to have it fixed. Don't let them tell you to bring the tt in and they will work on it when they get chance you will not see the tt for weeks! The white wire is used to start the furnace. Remove the white wire from the back of the thermostat and turn the furnace back on. If the furnace starts it still is shorted out. I would then go out to the furnace and take the white wire off the control board and see if it starts. If it dose then the control board is bad. if it dose not then the wire from the thermostat has been pinched and shorted out and will need to be replaced.
PS you can use an electric heater 1500 watts for heat at night this summer with park power

Hope this helps Tim
