Help with water heater, newbee
2002 Wildwood 30BHSS LTD, I'm pretty sure it's the SW6PR. Had it running yesterday but it keep trying to restart like the pilot was out, the reignitor was ticking like crazy, off and on. But we had hot water. This morning we get up ticking was not as loud and lite on switch was not as bright but no pilot was lit and did not have hot water. Both gas tanks are good and on, stove works. Didn't now if we have a reset in trailer that we can't find or some other issue and we just are screwed and need to call a tech out. I've tried restarting the whole process even with powering down the TT to try and reset. Any ideas?

Are you on shorepower or battery? Also your igniter may need to be adjusted closer to burner so control can "sense" the pilot flame. If you dont have a manual you can download one from the Suburban site or one of our excellent members will post one.
(Sorry I have an Atwood)

You should have a reset limit outside on the water heater. See if that popped open it's behind a black rubber cover. I either assume that you are either not using electric or is your unit is propane only? The part that puzzles me more is the dimming of your switch. That could happen if you are grounding in that circuit somewhere. If you have a volt meter measure the voltage at the limit first. You might also try and pull the gas tube out and clean it and look at the gap of the ignitor, should be like 1/4" you could have blockage in the pilot tube itself. If all that is okay or if your not comfortable doing that stuff, call a service guy. In the mean time you and your better half can take a shower together and pour hot water from the stove over each other. Just to save water of course. Good luck hope you get it figured out.

Yeah it's propane only, didn't see a reset behind anything in the tank near any controls

It sounds like it could be lack of fuel. Did you try burning your stove for a few min to get any air out and also to confirm you have a good fuel flow?

That means that your pilot is out of adjustment, and you getting what is called delayed ignition. The gas is filling the chamber until it ignites. Make sure your pilot hood is putting a flame on the burner itself.

I would think counter but just turn your gas valve to pilot, then light it and adjust it before you open the valve to gas. You might have bent it when installing the thermocouple to, You don't need a big flame but it has to hit the burner. If you adjust it to high you will cause a yellow tip to big that will create soot. Yellow tip no more then 1/4".
