In the market for a 30# bottle

Just found a leak from my propane bottle. Dang, had it tested about 2 years ago. The leak is below the neck, at the factory weld. Going over my pre-trip checks and smelled it. Soapy water proved its location. Dang.

Where's a cheap source for another 30# bottle? I need it by next weekend.

The local propane places only like sell it.

I gotta check out the local big boxes. Also there's a tractor supply store nearby.

Also, here is a CW about 30 min drive but I never looked at tanks. I can't believe they'll have good prices.

If you have a Tractor Supply, I've seen them there too:

I see you replied about Tractor Supply while I was typing my previous post. I just checked and it appears Home Depot and Menard's also sells them, as you could check there.

As long as it does not leak like the one you posted it is a better deal all around.

No Costco. The local RV guy wants $80 new, 35 used. I saw a new one for $69 and 12 year inspection.

I was hoping to find a sweet deal somewhere.

Menards is probably going to be the best deal if there's one close to you. Their don't say "Save Big Money At Menards" for nothin. I LOVE Menards, if I'm not there once a week, they call me to make sure I'm ok!!

Try a local RV dealer parts store. They sometimes have trade in or unclaimed special order item around. Tractor supply sells them but check website for 20% off coupon first. Pretty common to have coupons available.

Got one today, $101 filled. I wish it wasn't just before a trip, but glad it didn't happen during the trip, or worse, caught fire.
