leaking propane hose

Once again I have lost a tank of propane from a leaking hose at the swivel. Bought my solaire in 2012 and already replaced both once, now another leak. Surely these hoses can go more than two years! They are pretty flexible when bought but take a hard set iver time that puts pressure on the swivel if the tanks are jostled. Mine are only about 9" long, I wonder if longer hoses would help?? Lost the tank just getting started at cades cove, no electricity used my lantern tank and it was empty when I got home! Should have checked hose then.

I've had to replace one almost new hose. Thought it should have lasted longer. The replacement seems to be higher quality.
