Herk, now that you mention it, I'm pretty sure that my detector is both an LP and CO detector in one. Maybe this is why it's mounted on the floor (LP leak is probably more likely than CO, although CO is odorless). I believe this is the model mine came with (66-8836) - Safe-T-Alert Carbon Monoxide Detector, also LP - PPL Motor Homes

Sorry for hijacking the thread...

I had the same issue with it going off at 3:00 in the morning scaring my wife half to death. Couldn't get it to reset and the indicators showed it was bad (only a year old!!!) So I have contacted my dealer and they are going to replace under warranty. However my question is how to silence it so it not going off every 5 min . Thought about cutting the negative line till I can get a new one!

Although the CO/LP detector came with a warning label on how to respond in the event of an emergency, it did not describe what all the alarms and lights mean. So I added these onto the label which is posted in a kitchen cabinet. If an alarm goes off it would of course be in the middle of the night, and I don't want to go fumbling through manuals while evacuating over something that might be a malfunction.

For our model, the alarms are shown on the bottom of p. 3 of this PDF.
