Are you sure it is not the gas leak detector going off, in which case you might have gas leak which is very dangerous. Regulators don't beep, but the gas detector does and it is quite loud for a reason. Please check it out carefully.

Thats what I thought until I lifted the plastic cover off of the lp tanks and it was coming from the regulator or tanks. Crazy huh. Any way the new regulator is suppose to be coming tuesday. I'll keep you posted. We won't be going again for a couple of weeks or so. That will give me enough time to get this sorted out.

I had a similar problem a couple of months ago, but my tanks "sang" and sometimes knocked. Here is the thread: http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ead.php?t=3944

I installed a new regulator tonight. It is quieter but still makes a little noise. I will have to take it out and camp to get a better idea if it is fixed. I still don't have all of the air purged out yet either. I went into the front bedroom and it is hardly audible though.

I really think was the regulator. We will be taking the trailer out in a couple of weeks and I'll post what I find.

Noisy propane system

My 829fkss had the same problem. I took it back to the dealer and he fixed it in 5 minutes. Apparent5ly, ther is a batch of hoses out there that are defective. He replaced the two hoses from the tank to the regulator and the noise immediately went away. He did state that he has had about 2 or 4 trailers that had the same problem.

Thank you!! I don't know how long it would have taken to figure that out on my own. It certainly makes sense tough. The hoses shouldn't be to expensive either. Must be a valve of some sort in the hoses.

Other than the defective hose problem, An important point to note is that under normal operation, a propane regulator will make a "humming" noise. This is normal and should not be construed as a problem or regulator malfunction.

Mind sharing which regulator you went with? Sounds like I also need to replace my regulator due to very loud chirping.

Thanks!

I responded to you on one of the other threads but I'll just post it here anyway. I just had this same problem this season. I changed the regulator which didn't do much. Then I changed the pigtails but used my original regulator & now everything is perfect. Pigtails should be under your warranty mine were.
