LP Quick Connect
Hello Everyone, I was wondering what the purpose of the LP quick connect on the side of my Sabre is for other than the obvious? I was wondering if I can hook up a camp stove to it? If I can do I need to purchase a special hose somewhere? I have read the owners manual and their is no mentioned of it in there.... Thanks in advance.....

It is for connecting to a grill. Can you use it with a camp stove, well that depends. That connection is actually going to already have gone through the propane regulator so it will be a low pressure line. Most camp stoves or grills that run on propane also have a regulator on them (they are made for high pressure) and by passing through two regulators there is often not enough pressure to operate the grill properly if at all.
Now, I have had a grill in the past that actually was made to hang on the side of my camper that was made for low pressure and did not have a regulator on it and most dealers will sell the quick connect hoses for them.
Right now I have been using my WeberQ 220 with 1 lb tanks but have thought about switching it over as it does have a removable regulator (not really published as a feature though) which others have successfully gotten to run once removing and running through the low pressure lines.

as was said, it's for the low pressure grill that mounts on the side.
did you not get it?
usually you don't get the quick-connect without ordering the grill option. it also gets you the side rail installed to attach it to.
won't work with most other grills/stoves since they are mostly high pressure.
Camp Chef stuff will work with it.

Quick Connect
Simple, go to amazon com and order the following parts, you can convert any portable tabletop BBQ to use you RV quick connect. You need an RV Control Valve with quick connect, if your propane line from your RV is long enough, that's all you need, if not long as mine was not, you also need an RV Quick-Connect to Quick-Connect LP Gas Hose. Just unscrew the valve on your Tabletop BBQ and screw in the new control valve. Have fun.

I brought off the lot and my TT has the quick-connect & side rail installed but it didn't come with the grill either.  Nothing in the paperwork indicated a grill - just the quick-connect feautre.

Quick Connect
Well, the grills they do come with as mine did are not terrible good. Prefer to use the tabletop I had already, but tired of lugging around propane cans. Lol.

We use the grill that came with the TT all the time - works fine. Not a great idea to use it with the awning down tho.

Thank you all for the answers.... I bought the Fiver brand new and it did not come with a grill or rail option. Just the quick connect by the front of the rig....

I would get a Weber Q and add the quick disconnect. Very happy with this grill.

I have the optional BBQ that connects to the quick connect LPG line and it works great, but I would like to use the quick connect in conjunction with a camp stove so I won't have to cook in or along side the camper. I am confused as to what part(s) to purchase. On the end of my female connection for the quick connect it reads '1/2" 50M BTU/H LPG.' What is the compatible male end of the connection that would connect to the camp stove?

Please explain. I use mine with the awning down all the time. There's 5-6 feet clearance above the grill to the awning. Do you have 6 foot flare-ups when you bbq?

Why not just use the one that came with the trailer? You can use the rack that hooks on the trailer by just sitting it on a table and sitting the grill on it. The grill has T brackets on both ends that will accept the stand whether it is vertical or horizontal.
If you want to get it farther from the trailer, you will have to buy a section of hose and cut and splice it onto the original hose, which is what I did. No problem and solves the problem if you are skeptical about using the grill while it is attached to the trailer. We've used it on the side of the trailer for 5 yrs and not had any problem at all even with the awning deployed.

I guess I should not have mentioned "along side." We Have a Flagstaff 227 with the stove permanently affixed inside the camper.
I just ordered what appears to be the correct connection part from Camper's World. I have read various pro and con comments in regards to removing the regulator on the camp stove. I will try it both ways.
