LP Regulator replacement.

My 30 lb regulator just went bad, I see it is a general problem. my question is why do we need that regulator? it is a single line over to the main regulator, seems a bit redundant, it's no different than the tank below the main regulator
any good reasons to have it would be helpful.

The 30 lb is required as the run of High Pressure LP gas can cause major issues should the hose let go. Most likely go boom or some such unlikeable outcome. It is a code issue by RVIA standards I am sure.
