I know they require 24v for operation, my question is, do the furnaces we have in our trailers provide LV? Im currently using a digital Honeywell with batteries. 2012 Salem 26 rks here. Not sure of the model number of rhe furnace.

If by 'LV' you mean low voltage, the t-stat has 12volts DC to it. It either gets it from the furnace or the A/C depending on which units you have.

12 or 24v? My ac is on the roof and controlls are built in. T stat only controlls heat.

Hardwired RV stats use 12v.

I use a Honeywell that needs no voltage from the Furnace or AC unit. Just closes the relay when heat is needed or AC when switched to that mode. Has 3 Double A batteries in it.

RV's have 12VDC, home units use 24VAC. I don't know of an Ecobee t-stat that uses 12VDC though there may be one.

So, in other words, if using a "home" tstat, we're limmited to ones that have batteries

It's actually more than that. Some have batteries, but they're just for clock backup. You need one that actually uses the batteries to power the functions.

Yes

24v stats use 24 VAC which your trailer does not have.

I wired up a programmable thermostat in my previous TT and it worked great to turn the heat up and back, but as others have said you are working with 12 volts so likely need to keep the dry cells in the unit.

Installation and operating instruction for Suburban SF-42Q (also includes other models), provides wiring diagrams that show the thermostat, furnace module board, and all furnace loads receive their 12VDC power from the external 12V (battery or converter). There is no 12VDC power source within the furnace.
