no propane ????

Trouble with our propane / when tank #1 went dry the requator didi not switch over . after much fooling around , found that hoses that connect to the both tanks . would no longer let propane through.
has anyone seen this before

When you open the valves on the tanks, you must do it slowly, else the tanks will shut off. Highly unlikely both hoses are stopped up. Other cause could be both tanks are empty. A 20 pound tank, when full will around 44 pounds. A 30 pound tank when full, will weigh around 77 pounds. Use a bathroom, scale, weigh yourself, then weigh yourself holding the tank. Never assume the dealer gave you full tanks, even though they claimed they did. I should have made them way mine.

Yes I have. I just recently had a problem where one tank would not work. It turned out to be a problem with the hose from the tank to the regulator. There actually was a tight mesh screen in the tank connector fitting which had plugged up from oil. Where did the oil come from?? I am guessing from the tank but I am not sure. You can't see the screen looking down the fitting. I cut it apart to see what the problem was.
