No Propane problem on Cherokee

My wife and I are new to RVing. We have a 2010 Cherokee travel trailer. We have had it out several times and never had a problem with the gas oven or stovetop. But on our last trip we could not get propane to the stove....couldn't light the pilot and no smell of gas with the burners turned on. There is plenty of fuel in the tanks. What would be the problem?

When you turn on the propane, you have to do it VERY slowly. If you open it too fast, it can stop itself.

Otherwise, I'd likely check (replace) the regulator and/or switchover valve if you have 2 tanks.

You say it can turn itself off.....silly question from me is where does it turn off at and how do I turn it back on. There are two tanks and both tanks are full because I just filled them up.

Shut both propane tanks off, then open stove burner for 30 second and shut off. Go back to propane tanks and open valve very slowly on first tank and then same on second. Go and try your stove again. Hope it will light up. There is a internal stop valve at the regulator to prevent high flow if a hose is cut or damaged.

To reset that shutoff just turn the tanks off completely and then slowly turn them back on again.
