onan propane genn

I have a 2006 onan 3500 or 3600 propane genn that I havent started in 2 years. It ran fine the last time I started it up. It cranks over just fine but will not hit a lick. I know it's something simple. What do I tap on or clean out? The code light is flashing real fast. That should mean "over crank" and I'm not sure what that even means. Thanks Tim

I always go back to the basics of auto mechanics. An engine needs 3 things to run: Gas, Air, Spark. Although these days you can't rule out the electronic circuit board. I would start with checking for spark, easiest thing to do and go from there.

Good luck.

Check fuel, fire and compresion in that order.I dont know much about gas gens but may be a bad or dirty regulator.I know in cold temps if there is any moisture in the propane some regs will freeze.

I think I may have a bad tank selector. I messed around with different tank's and the selector switch it ran very slow for a while then took off. I also shook a dead chicken at and hopped around some. That might have been it.
