I opened a burner on the stove just to make sure it was working, it immediately went to red. Only one time did ours leak down but it was an o-ring in one of the bottle whips.
Unfortunately, my regulator is the original that came with the trailer and doesn't have any visual indicator so this may be the first mod I'll plan for the year. Did you replace yours to get one with an indicator or did the trailer come equipped with one?
