Propane Alarm
After looking for a bit, haven't really been able to find an answer in this forum and was looking for some experienced advice for this rookie...
We purchased a 2012 Salem 26TBUD this spring. On our first trip, we ran headlong into the problem with the newer Dometic refers not having the rocker switch to shut off the climate control. Not knowing, battery went dead at 3 AM the morning after we got there, 12 hours after unhooking from the truck with 2 full deep cycle batteries. I know it was 3 AM because of the horrendous propane alarm that was going off and waking up everyone within 100 yards of us on the pristine lake at 8500 feet in southern Utah we chose for our first trip. I can look back now and laugh, that night it was cold, confusing, and not funny at all! After 5 minutes, wound up pulling the fuse just to shut it off until the next morning.
Anyways, after searching the web, I found a solution to the climate control issue on the refer. That propane alarm is more of an issue. As we will be dry camping the overwhelming majority of the time, I was wondering if there were any 12v propane alarms out there that don't go off under low battery conditions?
