Propane gas "Ping"

My propane gas tanks have a 'ping' sound.
This is new to me. Any ideas of what this is? How to stop it from happening?

Thanks

Could be the regulator or the pigtails. There is a check valve in the pigtails that can make a thumping sound with heavy usage. I had that problem, along with singing during light usage.

I had the same issue. 2010 Forest River Surveyor. Replaced the pigtails. Problem solved.

I have the same problem. One tank ping but the other doesn't. Is this covered under warranty?

Should be covered if under the warranty period. For the $26.00 & 15 minutes it took me to replace the pigtails it was not worth hooking it up and dragging it down to the dealer. IMHO.
