Propane hose dilemma, help needed

I recently replaced both regulators and pigtails on my 5th wheel. Still have issues with a leak only to discover one of the connectors on the 10'-12' extension hose that crosses from one side to the other is leaking where it is crimped onto the hose. One end has a 1/4" mpt connector and the other end has a 1/4" fif connector. I have looked on the web, called rv dealers, and rv parts vendors but cannot locate the same hose. I can't even seem to locate adapters to make something else work. Has anyone run into this same issue and what did you do or can be done to fix it?

Go to local hydraulic hose supply store and get what you need made. There’s 3 in my local area. Easy to find and way cheaper than RV stealership.

They the same as for propane? I had thought the fittings were a little different. But thanks. I will check for one in my area

try calling an on-line supplier and have them make a hose for you or get the proper adapter so you can use a prepaid hose. i know Propane Gear - Heaters, stoves, torches and all of the hoses and regulators to connect them. advertises customs hoses. is 1/4 fif a female flare fitting? i thought flare fittings were normally 3/8". there's got to be adapter for a flare fitting with normal 1/4 pipe thread on the other side so you could use a standard with 1/4 mpt on both ends. or is the fif fitting really an adapter itself that is screwed into 1/4 mpt . could you unscrew it?

The hose places have a vast amount of fittings and types of hose. They can make most anything you need while you wait. Take your old hose with you and they will make your life easy peasy again.

You can likely repair what you have with one of these. They even work with hydraulic fittings.

The 2-stage regulator has the female flare fittings because the pigtails usually have the male flare fitting with the seat for it. The other end of the hose has the other style. I did find a hose that is close from Hot Max. I would just need an adapter knuckle that has the male inverted flare fitting on both sides. I haven't found one

Yes, I ordered a custom hose from propane gear. No problem and I had it within a couple of days. Price wasn't bad either. Thanks for the tip.
