Propane Regulator Location?

Hi...new member, and I want to say this site has been a great source of information! I'm amazed at the collective knowledge of the members.

Now my question.....I want to relocate the LP regulator on my Wolf Pup....it is mounted on the front of the TT, at about the same height as the top of the LP tank. Is this intentional? I would like to locate the regulator down on the inside frame of the tongue, but I'm not sure if it can be located lower than the tank.

Thanks in advance!!

generally, this is the standard location for visibility and ease of use. also cheaper than running longer lines to a lower location.

So there would be no technical reason I could not move it?

You run the risk of high pressure gas re-condensing in the longer lines and passing thru your regulator (not good) or causing a freeze up, thats why the regulator is usally (but not always) mounted higher than the tank openings. Plus you will need to protect the regulator vents from road crap.

Regards
