Propane system

I just purchased a 2008 Cherokee lite 28a+. The owner did not have the operating manual, which I downloaded one from forest river. It just does not give detail on how the gas system works. I know I have a on off switch at the front of the trailer behind the panel which I believe is the electric/gas switch. Also there is a white panel beside the entrance way that has 2 red switches, 1 for the pump & one says heater. I know this is probably elementary to some of you, but can someone go through a step by step for me. thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Not familar with your rig but the "white" panel is for your water pump and water heater. Make sure you have water in your on board tank and the pump switch on then purge all the air out of both hot and cold, then turn on water heater. Once your water system is purged of air you will only need to do the above one time.

Hope this helps

BTW Welcome to the Fourm

The red switch marked pump is for the water pump. Make sure freshwater tank is full then turn it on. If you are at a site that has water you don't need to use. The other switch turns your water heater on. Make sure you run water in your faucet on the hot water side first for a few minutes to make sure there is water in the hot water tank. And check your by-pass valves to know that water is going to go in the tank!

A photo of the panel can sometimes be very helpful.

Normally, the water heater switch has a "fault" or "reset" light associated with it either internally or next to it. It also "normally" only controls the GAS side of the water heater "heat."

The AC side (if your unit is equipped) is normally outside.
