Question propane tank noise.

Is it normal for a propane tank to make noise when the furnace or hot water heater run?

Yes. Our tanks make all sorted of noise. Almost sounds like music sometimes. I can almost tell what's running by the sound it makes.

Normal for us. We also have the same noises from the tanks when a propane appliance is running and using propane - especially the water heater and furnace.

Suggestion.
Are you sure it isn't coming from the pressure regulator.

I would suggest turning off the tank valve and then slooowwwly open it.
Their is a small valve inside the rubber hoses that sometimes gives problems.
Try it it won't hurt.

Mine made a chirping noise when I first got my trailer. I had to replace the "pigtail" hoses between the regulator and the tanks. Check this thread http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ise-24176.html

Our 2014 Roo 23IKSS that we bought in July had this problem also. I called our dealer about it and was told that Forest River had this problem with some of the units that the regulator was louder. They replaced the regulator and hose pig tails in warranty and that took care of the problem completely.

Here's the fix: replace the regulator! How do I know this? Because while at the factory with our CC that's what the mfg rep told them to do. We had that problem.

I have the same issue with the driver side tank only on our 2011 Palamino Sabre 31 RETS. Have replace the pigtail, no difference. Where can I order the 30# regulator? Looked at Camping World and local propane dealer with no luck. Any help out there?

I would suggest you contact the mfg of the pigtail. They were the ones who told FR while we were there, to replace the reg.

My propane system "sang" also.....didn't recognize the tune.

Both pigtails were replaced under warranty, and no problem since.
