Propane Tanks

One of my propane tanks will not accept propane when attempting to fill it. They think it has a bad valve. Has anyone had this problem, and if so, is it cheaper to have the tank valve replaced or buy a new tank?

It is my understanding that end users are no longer allowed to "fix" them so that leaves a dealer and we all know how spendy that can be.

So my recommendation is to simple go to a farm supply, Lowes, Home Depot or what ever you have local and buy one.

Is this a new tank?? If so it will need to be purged before it can be filled. Otherwise, take it to a propane distributor and get them to look at it. They can change the valve if necessary.
