I have a friend who likes to refill the 1lb bottles and even brags about how he can get more into them by using needle nose pliers to pull the pressure release valve to allow air to escape. He weighs them until they match what a new bottle weighs so he "knows" they are not overfilled.

This is a little off subject but how, where, do you dispose of the small gas bottles?

I don't know, but be careful who you ask. There are probably some here who might defend sending them off in one of these:

Fire balloons ???????

I think that it is against the law to throw them in the trash where they will be put in a land fill.....

What do I do with them? Why, refill them of course
