Slide Pinching Propane Line

Just got it out of the shop, routine maintenance done, and they discovered the slide motor was shot. They replaced it and today I was prepping and checking everything inside and the burners would not ignite. So, after checking tank, water heater concluded that it was getting propane to those places.
I'd about given up and tried 1 more time, no lite (and you could tell there was no propane coming out of either burner). I decided to bring in the slide and tried lighting the burners with the slide in...AND they worked!
So, I put the slide out again ..... no lite...pulled the slide in a bit (about 2 inches) and it worked..my best guess is with the slide completely out it is "pinching" the line.
Can I fix (meaning is this simple fix) this or should I take back to the shop?
Appreciate any thoughts or recommendations.

What did you do to fix the issue so that others might know.
