you could get one of these qcc fittings. they have a 1/4" male npt thread. then maybe get a hose made or find one with 1/4" npt male on one end and 1/4" npt female on the other. i dont know of any already made. make sure the rubber is lp gas compatible. the reg will take the 1/4" npt male end. let us know how it works out...

Curious. What's the benefit of braided SS in a RV application over an off the shelf rubber replacement?

probably just appearance. op might be frustrated with the life of these hoses. I know i am. i carried the hose with the solid copper crimp band in the store for a while but these were the worst. now i sell the other style with the thin brass crimp because they hold up better.

Bling is cool but how does the steel braiding influence the life of a LP hose? Noticed Amazon carries an assortment of these braided LP hoses and they look pretty cool but, again, what's the benefit?

Maybe to stop the rodents and squirrels from eating the hose. I recently had to replace the line on my webber at home after the chipmunks ate into it. They recommended the braided hose for this problem.

The only ss braided hose I am aware of is the Parker hose it has a stainless steel internal braid over a rubber inner tube covered by a rubber and fabric outer cover. its available in
3/16", 5/16", 13/32" and 1/2" id commonly used on LP gas motor fuel (forklift and auto gas) applications. You have to field install the 2 piece reusable couplings and to my best knowledge they don't make a 1/4" inverted flare fitting for the regulator end so you would have to adapt. Very abrasion resistant but a determined critter can chew it given time.

I have been down this road before. I believe the best place to go is a full service PROPANE STORE that sells and services propane hook ups which is NOT necessarily an RV Store. They will have the right stuff for EXACT replacement and a safe replacement. If you use the wrong hoses you potentially will have a BOMB that may go off someday.... Just saying.....

good point..be sure they are rated for high pressure lp. these are teflon lined, but they were very vague as to spec.

The hose you show is the same hose used on race cars for brake hose. SS cover over nylon core, very durable, you can get various hoses and fittings at "aeroquip" and other race hose suppliers.

Went to the local Propane Store / Supplier, where my tanks get filled, and bought SS steal hose with the correct fittings on the hose. Did not have to have one made.
It does keep the squirrels from feeding on the hose. My tanks and hose are behind close doors ont the 5er and the squirrels still can find them.

Squirrels? Seriously! I know ground hogs will eat the hardware but squirrels usually just mess up their accommodation with produce. Fascinating...

BTW, the SS hoses also keep the ultraviolet off the hose. If exposed to sunlight that is the most damaging thing long term...

Rodents (squirrels) WILL eat through the braiding. I know this for a fact. I have hard-piped many a customer's gas grill due to this.

kandl - down here is SW Georgia, squirrels will eat the plastic off the wiring in the outside building if it is exposed where they can get to it. We have had a couple make the mistake eating plastic off both wires and those we find, fried.
Seriously Squirrels.

Come to think of it...
A very long time ago, while on business at Tyndall AFB, and while sharing some cold ones with a MSgt that was posted there, we somehow got onto the subject of destructive critters and he was impressing upon us how squirrels in Florida were more destructive than alligators. We thought it was a cute story but soon after returning to the frozen north, forgot all about it.
Dang! He was right all along.

That's crazy! I wonder if they're reacting to the mercaptan in the gas.
