Store with Full or Empty LP Tanks

Just got back from our last trip for the year and getting ready to winterize and store the trailer. One of LP tanks is empty and the other one is almost empty. Do you store the trailer with empty LP tanks or should I get them filled and store it with full tanks.

If you'd like to be ready to zoom out in the spring, fill em' now. Otherwise, never do anything today you can put off till' tomorrow.

Since LP gas does not get stale like gasoline, I would keep them full as needed, before prices go up more! They almost never seem to come down! Randy

The only reason I didn't fill mine was it wasn't that empty; I still have 13 pounds left in the 20 pound tank. It's a bit of a waste of time for me to fill up the remaining 7 pounds; especially seeing as I could end up using some during the winter. I may use the furnace if I plan on doing any work out there; or if I do something that makes my DW kick me out of the house.

It really makes no differance if stored full or empty. I would get both filled now while price is down. One less thing to worry about next spring when getting unit ready to go for the summer.

Get it filled now so that you don't forget that one of the tanks is empty when you open the trailer next spring.

I always keep mine full throughout the winter. If we lose power for any long period of time we could always go out to the coach, fire up the generator and have heat and a place to cook since we rely on electricity for everything. As stated prices never go down and having it for the first time each year saves me time before we leave.

I gas in my tanks, also. Like Charlie, I use my camper as an emergency evacuation center if the power goes off.

Also, I will run my furnace during extremely cold nites to keep the vinyl floor from possibly cracking.
