Turning on Propane Question......

Every time I return from an outing with my TT, I shut off the propane at the bottle regulator...The next time we get ready to go I turn it back on but it takes about 1/2 minute to purge the line and reach the stove / refrigerator / HW heater... Once the stove lights, I know that when the refrigerator or HW heater needs gas, it will be there and not have to try to ignite several times while the gas line fills up..... Is this normal??? Where is the gas that was in the line when I shut it off going??

What you describe is perfectly normal.
I also wonder "where does the gas in the lines go when
the valve is off".
It happens to all of us.
When mine has been sitting OFF I turn it on and open
a stove burner valve for several seconds. Once the burner
lites I shut it off and hit the water heater switch. As soon
as the water heater lights (I can hear it from inside) I shut
it off and then turn on the fridge. It usually lights the first
cycle but even after all this it occasionally will fault and I
have to shut it off and back on to make it try again.
It always lights the 2nd cycle if not the first.

If we are going back out in a couple weeks I sometimes
leave the LP on just to avoid this.

like stated above it is normal - I turn the stove on and light it as well and then I know my fridge will light soon after.
not sure where the gas in the line goes - I think it just disipates and you have to purge it again unless it is under pressure
