5th Wheel storage door moulding caulking??

Took delivery of a 2013 Wildwood Heritage Glen 356QBQ this summer and have been looking over it after using it for the later half of the summer. Question I have is the storage hatch door frames appear to have a foam type material behind them and the frames stand out from the body by almost 1/8" due to the moulding between the lower metal panel on the body and the fiberglass sides. I have been contemplating running some clear RV sealer around these to prevent water weeping in. Thoughts on this please. Have checked a couple other same model 5'ers and they are the same. I just don't like the idea of allowing water in behind the mouldings as I have seen what water can do to any wood materials used in floors, etc.
