Anyone else get 'diesel dots'?

I don't normally run the generator while underway. My engine tailpipe is back near the rear wheels. I had the passing thought that I might have a leak somewhere up front (noting the horrible quality of RVs and me having over 20 warranty items in my first year) but some of the dots are found high up on the nose.

I cleaned, in detail, the passenger side today and found about 5 of the dots. The nose gets a few, the rear some mostly toward the driver side. By far, the dots form on the passenger side and get more concentrated toward the rear.

They come off easy enough except for the time. Usually a fingernail. Sometimes they smudge and I need 711 or simple green to remove completely.

Anyway, winter setting in here in the northeast. Further investigation might have to wait for the spring. I appreciate all of the responses.

Another new term I had to google!! Learned something new again. Apparently if rail dust isn't removed immediately it will imbed in the paint and keep coming back. Interesting topic going from diesel to spores to rail dust. Now I'm looking at every spot differently. Most of mine wind up being just boring old aphid droppings
