Anyone noticed condensation from the roof vents?
Yesterday I noticed the bar stool had some water on the top of it. looked like drops. thought nothing of it. This morning it got to -5C out the night before and the roof vents were dripping water all over the trailer! (have 5 in mine).
Now has anyone ever seen that before? how would i go about preventing this?

oh yes. i've had the drops in my bathroom. the humidity inside the trailer condenses on the inside of the cold covers and rains.
all i do is grin (grimace) and bear it. it is somewhat inconvinent when ur on the throan and water drips on u.
outside of stuffing one of those pillows up there, i don't know how u would stop it.
i'm assuming ur talking abt the water dripping from those jack up covers and not from around the seal its self.

we have three eva dry small dehumidifiers for the winter time.
they use very little power, less than an amp but will flat pull the water from your air.
we have two small ones (pint) and one large (qt)
i installed the big max air covers over all of our vents. this really helps with the temp differences and in turn will reduce the condensation on the vents.
make sure you have good airflow around the rig to keep the condensation down on the windows and metal surfaces.

Would not the foam just get full of water and make a bigger mess? Mine only does this dripping thing in the summer as that is when we use the AC. i DON'T THINK A dehumidifier would do any good.

you would need to use CLOSED cell foam, not the seat cushion stuff or you will have a huge messy soggy event.
we only use the dehumidifiers in winter, rest of the time the ac pretty much takes care of the internal moisture

I believe they make a specific product for this and it is a foam vent cover.
may not help alot with condensation but it will certainly keep out the heat.
I have alseo see them in a thicker style I think 6" foam adn they slip up into the vent opening.

We are talking condensation drip from one of the in-ceiling AC vents right? Not a leak from a roof vent, right? If so then sticking anything in the air way or vent is going to just store water until it cannot hold any more and then BANG something has to give.

I believe they are talking about the crank open roof vents not AC vents. The Foam I am talking about is for the roof vents.

Condensation !
Had the same problem with a Flagstaff TT. It would sweat where the aluminum frames were. Drilled small holes just big enough to squirt foam insulation into the frame. Stopped the "DRIPPY" condensation.

The sky lights are nice but a pain, they get very hot because they are thin plastic which increases the heat load in the camper. I install the insulated foil inside of the sky lights, this reduces heat and no condensate problems.
