Bird Deposits

The past weekend, we camped under a tree that was a gathering area for the local bird population. Needless to say, they gave us plenty of going away gifts that I have to remove! Do any of you have a favorite product that won't remove the finish, or decals? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I wash the entire camper (roof included) with Dawn dishwashing detergent and never had an issue.
Big key is to wash it off as soon as possible and not to let it sit on there!

And it is even what the manufacturer recommends:

Wash the exterior monthly with warm
water and a mild detergent.
• Avoid spraying water directly into
refrigerator and furnace vents.
• Immediately remove bird droppings, tree
sap, insects and tar to avoid staining.
• Wax at least once a year with a standard
liquid or paste wax.
• Prolonged storage of unit should be in a
sheltered environment, when possible.

"A mild household soap solution and a soft brush can be used to
clean a rubber roof."

As a follow up to this thread, we got the trailer home but had to drive thru torrential rain near St. Louis (after pulling over at Cracker Barrel to wait out the wind). The good news is - most of the bird poop is gone. The bad news - a basketball size spot of paint has peeled off the nose panel!! I guess we'll call our insurance company to see if this covered. Any suggestions, please?
