black marks that dont wash away - exterior

Our camper has many small to medium sized black marks/smudges that simple will not wash away. It is a fiberglass/resin side model. The marks are typically oval smudges that will not wash off with regular RV wash or Simple Green. I have been afraid to go after them with anything harsher.

Any idea what would cause these and how to get rid of them?

I would recommend you try Mr Clean Magic Eraser Pads, works wonders on tough stains.

No harm to the finish that I can see.

Use Black Mark Eraser/Romover from any boat supply - West Marine carries several brands. Works instantly.

The FR rep told me that you can use Mineral Spirits to remove these marks/smudges. I tried it on some black streakes and it removed them.

Just don't let the MS stay on long after you apply it.

Someone on here recommended LA Awesome cleaner from the Dollar store. I tried it and it worked great. Before I new it I had spent about 45 minutes cleaning a bunch of other stuff that where other cleaners didn't work. For as cheap it is it's a good deal.

X2. I've had very good luck with car wax removing stubborn black streaks.
