Can I Eternabond?

Can I put Eternabond on the seal flange and trim on the outside edge of the slide over it and the screws?

This is where l placed Eternabond on our slide outs, covered the flange and screws l think you are questioning about.Click image for larger version

I have attached a pic with an arrow pointing to the area, it currently has butyl tape under it but I do not want to disassemble to put more in so thought maybe I could eternabond it.

I have also put it there, just wondering about putting it down the vertical flange as well.

I use Dicor lap sealant on mine some use Pro flex, but to answer your question, yes Eternabond could be used probably 4 inch wide, as long as you just cover the flange on the vertical wall and don't let the Eternabond get where the slide out seal meets the outside of the slide when it is closed because it would not be level and would possibly cause a leak.

Yes it would be easier and not that water can not enter there would be less app to since its vertical and not flat. But uf you decide to use Eternabond the application would be no different than the flange l covered on our slide out on top horizontally. Good luck with your repair.

No, l have placed Eternabond on every seem now except roof vents and sewer vents, l removed each of them and placed two layers of Butyl tape and Dicor self leveling caulk let the Dicor set about a week and placed a second layer of Dicor. I did not put Eternabond on my vents because they may need replacing, and l know two layers of Dicor is an over kill but it has been two years and all still looks good. But the key is two layers of Butyl tape, factory puts one layer and its not enough, l also put two layers of Butyl under my windows, l had 6 leaking no problems after repair.
