Thought about using two-sided tape for this but wondered about other suggestions.

Mine came down kind of like that. Used a few finishing nails and tacked it back up.

Usually those ceiling trim pieces are snapped into a track that runs between the ceiling panels. Most will just pop back into place by giving them a hit with the palm of your hand. I have had a few that I had to use a rubber mallet to pop them back into their track.
