Color of roof

We have a rockwood sig ultra lite tt with a white rubber roof. It is five yrs old. Just curious if spraying silver paint would reduce heat gain as compared to the current white.

One of the roof manufacturers told me at last yr's goshen rally this would void the warranty. Other than that, any thoughts on pros cons?

IMHO, putting any kind of spray paint on a rubber roof is a horrible idea.

I would agree with Iwritecode, I would think it is a bad idea. The roofs are rubber and spraying anything like that on changes the properties of it. In addition, I may be wrong but I always thought white reflects heat?

Why change it to silver if white is already reflecting the heat, this is from the national science foundation "A white object reflects all wavelengths of light, so the light is not converted into heat and the temperature of the object does not increase noticeably"
