Cracked and loose outside trim piece
We have a 2017 Rockwood Mini-Lite 1905 and the Rubber trim on the left side of the trailer at the top cracked and the trim rail is now exposed. Does not look like it would cause a leak but i put sealant on a few of the screws but would like to see where i can get the rubber trim to replace it. I have emailed Rockwood to see where I can get the parts.

The only way to know for sure what size is to pull a small section out of the end and measure.
You can find both sizes here:

I need some too! The size of the aluminum slot edge to edge on mine is .650", so is that the .750 or 1 " size? I'm thinking probably the .750". Anybody know fer sure?

I need to replace one side on mine as well, but haven't got around to it yet. Picked up a roll at the dealer. Service manager recommended to let the new insert sit in the sun for a bit to soften up.
Safe and happy travels.

I can only say with certainty that 1" has two lips, each 3/16", and the rounded portion is 5/8". I've also found out that this insert stripping does contract and expand with cold and hot ambient temps respectively.

NOTE: Cut it long, Do NOT stretch it while installing. The material will shrink with time and if you cut it to exact length, next year it will be too short and the end screws exposed again.

I Have attached a pic with a ruler. I also have a gap of just over 1/2". Can not see how 1" would fit.
I might just get both and return the other.

I just replaced mine
I just replaced that this trim on my 2016 Salem lite. It is the 3/4 size. The only problem I had was the RV armor roof covered the top part. I just trimmed the new material and slipped it under the old then sealed the gap with Flex Seal. I replaced it all down the front to the screwed in cap on the bottom. It was very easy and I didn’t need any special tools. The trailer is a 201BHXL.

To all that have responded, Thanks. I do have an e-mail into FR support on the actually size for the 2017 Shamrock. I will let you know the outcome. Fingers crossed on a return e-mail. My bet is it is 3/4". Any takers.

When I ha to replace some of that in my old trailer, I just pinched it together and slipped the edges under the flange. Went right in. Did find a leak in the screw holes, though. Unscrewed each screw and put a dab of sealant on it and screwed it back in. No more leaks.

I've found that starting one edge under the metal lip, squeezing the vinal together and running the other side in with a metal tablespoon, the installation goes fast. Be sure to secure the ends! Don't ask how I found out to secure both ends! LOL!

I replaced one whole side on mine, I found that if you leave out in the sun to heat up it becomes pliable and easier to bend into place.

It also shrinks lengthwise over time. Cut the new trim long, maybe an inch for every 10 feet. In a year or two it will be a perfect fit.
This trim is also readily available on eBay for attractive prices.

Exterior Trim Molding
I just went through this on my 2016 Ultra V 2715VS... It was 1 inch wide... only comes in white and black that I have found at CW. Really an easy fix and only took a few minutes. Out of curiosity, I check a few of the screws... and most had worked a bit loose. I snugged them up and put on the new trim! All good! Good Luck and Safe Travels! JW
