Dicor Self Leveling Lap sealant vs Eternabond

I know each sealing product has its correct and incorrect uses. Both Eternabond tape and Dicor self leveling lap sealant are made to be used on the roof and both have folks that swear by them. I would just like to better understand why folks choose one over the other and where / how they use them. After a recent leak I want to make sure that things are well sealed up on the roof and I don't want to apply the wrong product in the wrong location.

I've only used Dicor, and it was to reseal around all things extending through roof. I scraped off old sealer as it was cracking, then applied the Dicor around the seal and over screw heads, just as originally done. Great results.

You could Play Factory,use Self leveling and cover it with EBond! Best of both Worlds! Youroo!!

Dicor can be used in more places, tight corners etc,
Etherbond is a strong very adhesive patch. Have used both but etherbond can look more like a "patch" and could be not so nice to to future buyers. Use only as required....

Eternabond is good for seams, even on brand new trailers as extra insurance.

SO it sounds like it boils down to preference and the space to be sealed more so than anything else. That's good to know. Thanks folks.

My understanding is that Eternabond tape is used for small patching on flat surfaces and the Dicor sealant is used on flat surfaces for larger sealing jobs. I do know from experience that if you are sealing around, say a vent on the roof, the Dicor material will be cheaper per inch sealed than the Eternabond.
