We saw a few places but not yet. It is kind of on that cusp of whether we would just drive over for the day or stay.

If you did the install did you use all the eternabond cleaner and primer products or did you just clean well (I'll probably use either mineral spirits or acetone sparingly) or did you just clean and go? Thanks.
Yes I did

Minor hijack of the thread...

I've been seeing ads by the Flex Seal people about their Flex Tape. Wondered if their joining the market would cause Eternabond to lower their prices. Turns out they are actually more expensive! 4"x5' is $20 + $10 shipping! But they do include one of their other products. But still! I don't think Eternabond has anything to worry about in the RV space.

Does anyone use anything else besides Dicor?

I saw a youtube by a man that says he seals roofs for a living, like Fenway Park and others. He only uses commercial products like Sikaflex on his fiberglass roof, he says you don't have to re-do this product like you have to re-do Dicor.

We have a rather massive roof leak in our 2016 Sunseeker. Sorry to say, I don't trust the service dept to actually fix this and trying to find definitive answers for repair/prevention. Eternabond tape sounds good, but the Dicor is so lumpy, seems difficult to get a really perfect seal.
Thanks.

Eterna bond.. In a few days I'll post my pics but did every seam on the roof minus a few plumbing vents and such but they will get done as well. Sika Flex 221 is what I have used for all the seams and seals along the side walls. Good stuff.

Sure about that?
From Eternabond website....

EternaClean Spray Cleaner is formulated with a proprietary mixture of hot solvents, designed to "open" single-ply roof membranes and metals. Allows the surface to release contaminants like oxidation, grime, oil and grease, tree sap, etc. EternaClean Spray Cleaner leaves no residue, dries fast, and is non chlorinating so it is environmentally friendly and therefore legal in all states.

How long did you wait to put eternabond on over any new dicor lap sealant?

Why would you put eternabond over new dicor? When I use eternabond I remove old dicor, install the eternabond, and then place dicor around the leading edge of eternabond. Doesn't really need it but I'm weird that way.

I just bought an RV that has just had new Dicor lap sealant put down on seals, I'm going to put Eternabond over the new seal, the seal is across the ends of the roof line. I have seen on other sites that they just clean lap sealant and cover it, but that is old sealant. Like your way of sealing Eternabond to on coming water, better save than sorry. Was thinking the same thing. Oh by the way you I am a Newbie to the RV world, I have construction experience but RV's are foreign to me.

Ah! I would think after a few days the new dicor would be cured sufficiently to put eternabond over it. I would still clean it though. I just use alcohol.

If the new dicor is raised or lumpy I would flatten it out to ensure the eternabond bonds well.

I am going to use 6 inch Eternabond to make sure there is enough flat surface to bond to, but will use your advice to.

Nice! Sounds like an excellent plan. I have found installation/adherence is much easier during the warmest part of the day

I cleaned my seams with mineral spirits which made the lap sealant shine... Used 4" and did the whole outer roof seam, skylight, vent fan and fridge. Need to still do the vent stacks but been to busy with work. I went right over the old stuff as it was in pretty good shape. I'd figure yours would be fine by the time it left the lot at the factory. I'd still clean the old divorce and roof to make sure. 4" was more than wide enough for all but the very front seam where I overlapped it to get a bit extra coverage.

I'll do a better follow up in a few days but warm air brings out the crazys...

Our MH is in the shop having front cap removed and resealed. I plan to eternabond the whole top, the leak was devastating to my morale. Right now it's in shop for 3 weeks, nothing done yet. they say arguing with forest river. I wonder how sturdy the cap will be if it's removed and reattached. I don't know when it will be ready to go.

I have heard of more than one person (esp with 5ers) having the front seam leak on the cap. I had no leaks and our seams seemed 99% good, I did have one spot starting to get thin. For the $100 or so dollars in supplies it is well worth the strike to avoid what you are going through now. I can also now sleep easy knowing the seals will be good for the remaining time I own the trailer!
