Eternabond Inquiry
I have a 2010 Ultralite 2607 that I would like to put eternabond on the front and rear seams. I don't have any leaks or issues but think the tape would eliminate any maintenance with the dicor caulking. How much and what size tape would do the job? Also should I purchase their primer as well. I see there are different kinds of tape available so what is the preferred tape for my job?

I purchased and used the roofseal white in 4". This is the second rig I used this product on. First time did not use the primer. Worked OK but had to apply alot of pressure. This time I did and I think I got a better bond. Take your time and clean the area good before applying the tape. I plan on doing all the seams around all vents and skylights as soon as the weather warms up.

Can I get the product cheaper through eternabond itself or through some other retailer? How many ft. do you think I should go with? 50ft.

I purchased mine from E-Bay. I would measure the amount you need, and you can either purchase 50ft rolls or the amount +/- that you need. E-Bay was cheaper, I also purchased the Primer and Cleaner fron the same source a little cheaper than from Eternabond direct.

I bought two rolls of 50-foot 4-inch Eternabond for our 2011 2304 at a local roofing supply company. It was cheaper than what I could find on e-bay, and I was assured that it was fresh stock. I didn't use any primer or special cleaner, but do suggest using the application roller. To determine the amount I measured all the areas I wanted to cover, with a few extra inches on each dimension and then added 10 percent. It put me at about 60 feet, but I don't think I used only 10 feet of the second roll. As one suggestion in placing it down, start at the back and work forward. Doing it this way resulted in the fewest amount of "into the wind" seams.

I bought a roll from Best Materials Discount Warehouse. Their price for a 4" x 50' roll is $53.15 plus shipping. They also sell rolls in 2", 6", 12" and 24".

I bought one 50ft roll of 8" and two 50ft rolls of 4". (It only comes in 50ft rolls as far as I know). I had a lot left over (never opened one of the 4" rolls), but one roll of either would not have been enough. I used the 8" to cover the end seams and a few other places where the extra width was convenient. This allowed me to cover the existing Dicor sealer which was still in good shape and still have plenty of grip on the roof material itself. I used acetone as a cleaner which should be applied to all surfaces where the tape will be applied, including the top surface of other Eternabond pieces.
Here's a link with some before and after photos.
