I've done my roof also. I used the 8" tape and cut to width. 1 50' roll was plenty. Heading out for a long trip over Memorial Day. We'll see how it holds up. Heading north so expecting some showers for sure.
As Herk has mentioned, less mess than caulk and great coverage.

Have any of you used it on anything besides the roof? Like possibly the front seams?
thanks again for the info.

I thought of that too......just after I had re-caulked the seams with Proflex. That's some awesome stuff also. Can't see why the tape wouldn't work though.

I have a new 2011 Solera with the fiberglass roof. Would it be a good idea to put the tape on it?

Great idea. My 2010 Flagstaff 831RLSS had some of the caulking come loose on the rear corner over the winter and when I was cleaning it to take it for trade-in on our new Blue Ridge, I discovered that that corner had leaked. I'm going to do this to my Blue Ridge before it has the chance! Thanks!

Mine is still water tight and looks good. I will take some 3 year after photos when I clean the roof in a few weeks.

No matter what the name implies how long can the Eternabond be expected to last?

Can only attest to 3 years that I've had it on the roof and it still looks like it did when I put it on other than being a little dirty.

Seen a lot of post of people using acetone to clean the roof. My concern that it would damage the rubber roofing.

It should only be used to prep the area under the tape. It makes it sticky so the EternaBond will grab and hold on forever.

About half way down this page he has his three year review.

Everyone I have ever talked about eternabond to has said the same thing. Great stuff, well worth the time and energy to install, prep the surface well and you'll never have to worry about it again other than that yearly inspection.
