Extended rain spouts and RV covers

This is my first camper with those extended rain spouts that keep water from running down the sides. The problem is they are wearing through the cover I use when not in use. Mostly from the wind moving it around.
The spouts look permanent so was wondering what others do to help lessen the damage. Thanks!

Get a pool noodle at the dollar store. Cut it in 6in lengths and slide the pieces over the downspout.

I put a tennis ball on the spout. Cut a large X in it and gently push it over the spout. Works great.

My cover came with "socks" for the spouts.

Yep, pool noodle, I've seen those used or a tennis ball, not seen one of those used but sounds worthy.
