Exterior Frig Access cover leaks water - major water damage

If you have one of these covers, you may want to look at it carefully to see if water can leak into your frig compartment.

When we purchased our "New to Us" Mirada, One of the major reasons I was able to negotiate a great price was because of the water damage under the frig.

The weather finally warmed up enough to find the cause, repair it and also repair the water damage.

Repairing the hatch cover frame to prevent further water intrusion. Adding a lip to the bottom of the access cover frame:

Repairing the water damage. The red outline shows where all the wood was rotted away from years of water intrusion.:

It won't do MACH 2, but I can get a sandwich and take a pee.
