Fender Skirt Damage

Hello all,

Last week we had a tire blowout and it did some damage to the fender skirt (curb side) on our 2014 8285-IKWS 5th wheel. The fender skirt is a two piece unit with about 90 percent on the slide-out and the front 10 percent on the main body. The small 10 percent piece was torn off and flew to God knows where.

I have tried to find the small piece of the skirt on several parts web pages but have not been able to do so. In looking at the skirt, I am beginning to think that the skirt was made as one piece and then cut at the proper place where the slide-out opens. If that is the case, I can order a whole skirt and install it like Forest River did at the factory by cutting it at the proper place so that the slide-out will open.

Am I on the right track?

I'm looking for "darn near" that same entire trim / fender skirt ... cut something a little to close and put a nice gouge in ours. Luckily didn't damage anything that would hurt.

At any rate ... do we know if it is possible to get that wheel skirt / trim from Forest River ? (Would actually "prefer" to find the "EZ-Tow" kind, but any would work.)

Fender Skirt Damage

Just happened to us, contacted forest river and they sent fender quickly. Yes it is 1 piece. We cut and installed, easy peasy. Fender cost 213$! With shipping. Was surprised by the cost, new tires, and next is tpms so we don't have an expense like this again. Looked at other places online but nothing looked like ours or our color which turned out to be colorado gold. We have a 2011 year and they had replacement was worried since 5 yrs old.

Rburns4147,I have a Little experience with that "Little Piece" of Fender skirt! After a "Little Adjustment" at the Factory our "Little Piece" didn't "Line Up" anymore! They walk right over and got a New "Little Piece" and installed and Caulked it! Back then "2010" they had a "Update/Model Change" going on that had a Color change from "Brown to Baby Crap Green" ours was Brown and they had Brown Caulk to Match! They didn't Cut the "Little Piece" from a Full Cover it had a separate Part# Label on it! I am sure glad ours was not the BC Green color! Youroo!!
