fiberglass crack repair cost

Hello all,

We recently bought a new to us 2006 Shamrock 23RS. The first time we had it out a crack developed on the rear of the camper at the corner of the slide. It is about 4 inches long. I drilled a hole in attempt to stem the spread. How much do RV repair collision shops charge to fix this kind of damage?

I did not hit anything or use the jacks to level the trailer. I understand that these cracks are common with smooth side fiberglass trailers.

Thanks for the help,

Glenn

The fiberglass cracks because the structure is flexing.
Most likely, if you have it repaired, it will just crack again, as the cause will not be fixed.

The collision shop that specializes in RV repair quoted me $500 to mend the crack. The entire rear panel will need to be removed to fix it properly. He says stress cracks like this show up all the time by the corners of slideouts.
