Forest River - 2013 FR3 30DS Roof Insurance?
FR3 30DS is only 4 years old. We sealed the roof every two years. The last time in April. Shower had water in it when we picked it up from storage. Took it in, and the skylight had hairline cracks and needed to be replaced.
When they took out the skylight, they noticed wood rot. They said they're surprised because the roof seals looked good and there isn't any other visible water stains.
Can we submit this to insurance? We have Nat Gen through Good Sam. We have the receipts showing we sealed it every two year and we keep it with a cover on it.
Anyone have any experience with this? They're estimating $8,000 in repairs to re-frame and replace the roof -- it almost seems unbelievable, but he said come out and take some pictures if I need to.
