Forrester Cab Leaks

I’ve a 2016 Forrester 2401S Class C unit which leaks “gallons” through cab overhead (visors and overhead lights) with no wetness in cabin including overhead bunk. This happens after prolonged inactivity and leakage starts once open door(s). My thoughts are water leaking in void between cab top and cap. I’ve checked roof cab and cap joints with no obvious cracks and added two tubes of extra Dicor on roof cap joint but still have problem. Has anyone else experienced silmilar leaks or have suggestions for fixing? Despite purchasing extended warrantee, Camping World informs not covered. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. first I have a questions what do you mean "leakage starts once open doors" You may have to remove all the chalking on the seams clean and seal with seam tape.

. Thanks for answering. What I meant is the water from above does not start until I open either door and start moving. That’s why I believe it is water trapped in void space between our Sprinter cab and the Class C bunk cap.

Don't know what your sprinter cab looks like? Do you have running lights on the cab? If not then it has to be the seal from the cap to the cab where it attaches to the body somewhere. I would guess, could be at the top where it meets the camper body and dripping in water leaks are hard to trace, because it can travel and settle somewhere.

Thanks, I ended up cleaning entire top seal between roof and cap and applying decor, as well as sealing cap marker lights...hopefully this solves leak. The good news is never any water in roof or bunk area.u

Hope you got it, but most leaks are those strips. You can cover it with self leveling Dicor, or put down some tape then pour the self leveling over it. Good luck, I hate leaks...
