Front cap Clear coat cracking

I have a 2016 Forest River Salem Hemisphere travel trailer. The front fiberglass cap is painted a dark gray.

While cleaning and waxing it the other day, I noticed some very small cracks in the front cap clearcoat, primarily where the trailer gets the most sun exposure. These are not the typical spider fiberglass cracks.

I did a little research online and this was referred to as “checking”. Supposedly the dark paint and clearcoat are susceptible to this and over time it might allow moisture to cause bumps in the fiberglass.

Has anyone experienced this and is there any thing I can do about it?

I have had this coachman apex for 10 days yes it is brand new. Found hair line cracks in the front nose cap one on each side by the marker lights.
Looks like a defect to me. Has any one else found cracks in the nose cap?

Deep cracks in the fiberglass under or hairline cracks in the outer gelcoat? Gelcoat could be from drilling the hole for the light.
