Question Front power jack

I came home today with my 2013 Rockwood 2604 from 1st camping trip in it. Power jack worked great hooking up. When ready to unhook from truck I had no juice. Traced problem to a blown fuse. Why would a fairly new fuse blow there. I never had a fuse blow at a jack. Has anyone had this issue and why please. I bought 2013 used and used campers loose their factory warranty as I found out. I don't understand that.

Thanks and have a good week.

the jack would be covered under its own warranty, even if you don't have the FR warranty.
just like the oven, a/c, awning, converter, fridge/freezer, stove, roof membrane, tires, axles, furnace and so on.

but RV manufacturers only warranty to the original purchaser. none of them allows for warranties to transfer.
that's why the only 3rd party warranty i'd buy, would be on a used RV.

On your front landing gear if you bring them up to high or all the way til they stop you will trip the 40 amp breaker. push the little black button in on the fuse to reset it. That is a safety feature for the electric motor. I changed mine out after the first time it happened. My jacks or front landing legs would not come down after I had the unit at the dealer. The service tech raised them to high and tripped the fuse. When I got back home and went to drop the trailer nothing happened. I was pissed I knew they were working before I took the unit in. The dealer explained what happened and said that his guys are instructed not to raise them to the top. He sent me the 40 amp auto resetible breaker to end that problem. If you have rear stabilizers that are electric the same will happen but they will reset by themselves. It's just motor protection, which is really smart of them otherwise you could burn your electric motors up. Where was the fuse that you blew located?.........

The same should apply for an Aframe jack. We had a fuse blow on our jack when I took the jack up too high. It is a safety factor to protect the motor and gears.

you apparently have no warranty with the dealer. you could try them but i would contact the jack's manufacturer, IF there's something wrong with the jack and not operator error.

Agree with this. My Lippert ate itself up after a few months and I upgraded to a Barker 3500VIP. I did this through my dealer who credited me the amt for the Lippert. I paid the difference for the Barker.
